Each year, the mills and olive cooperatives of the department invite you to an open day. Many mills in the Alpes-Maritimes, between Grasse and Menton, will present their techniques and their secrets of crushing olives. It is both a part of the Mediterranean culture around the olive tree, a heritage and traditional skills that olive growers and millers pass from generation to generation.
