This important 10-day festival is held every 210 days to celebrate the victory of good spirits over evil.

It is a very important festival of Bali. It takes place every 210 days to celebrate the victory of the good spirits against the bad ones and to venerate the ancestor spirits who are summoned. It lasts 10 days during which rituals and offerings follow one another. The last day is an event in itself; it is the Kuningan which marks the return of the ancestors to their homes. During this period, the streets are covered with Penjor (decorated bamboo poles) installed in front of each house. Be careful, during this period, everything closes, including shops.
