This family business, founded in the early 1980s by the Corvaisier couple, is now run by Amélie, one of their daughters. La Ferme de la Métairie's organic and natural jams and sorbets are appreciated by locals and known as far away as Versailles. Their vintage cars, fitted out for sale, can be found in the gardens of Versailles and elsewhere, as well as in Le Mans for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They can also be purchased in delicatessens and organic stores, and direct from the Le Mans workshop. Amélie has just created a new label, Confidences d'Amélie, and welcomes other producers and artisans to her Christmas market at the Farm.

Daniel Pelletier has been a distiller of eaux-de-vie since 1987 and a cider producer with Fanny since 2002. The Pelletier cider house is a family business. Here we work by hand, respecting the environment. The sheep graze in the orchards. Here you can find ciders, brandies, jams and other bottles in which the most traditional recipes alternate with some innovations. A very pleasant visit. A favorite? The cider confit that goes marvellously well with a duck foie gras from Sarthe.

Here, we have been beekeepers from father to son since 1856. The honeys from the Paumeraie apiaries are sold at the Nogent-le-Rotrou market on Saturday mornings and at several farmers' markets in Paris and the region. You can order from about fifteen varieties of honey including chestnut, bramble, acacia, fir, heather, lavender, garrigue, forest and other transhumance sites of the Sarthe beehives. Based on the family farm, Céline and Éric Chevalier raise dairy cows, fed on locally-grown fodder, mainly grass, a little corn and cereals, all based on "reasoned" farming practices. Originally from Eastern countries, the blackcurrant arrived in Dollon in the 1960s with the particularity, since its beginnings in the Sarthe, of obtaining a sweetness and an intense flavour due to the superior sunshine during its maturation period. In Dollon, Céline Brouard is dedicated to the cultivation of this small fruit rich in flavours and benefits.

VOLAILLES LOYER is an independent family farm located in Sarcé, France, dedicated to producing top-of-the-range poultry in an environmentally-friendly way.
