At any time of the day, there is always a queue in front of this tiny shop, and for good reason! A wide choice of pastries and viennoiseries of all kinds, which have made their reputation. To choose your assortment, prefer the morning. Locals and regulars alike jostle in this house, founded in 1928, so that in the evening there is hardly anything left in the shop window! Tables welcome you in a pretty shady patio whose walls are covered with period photographs. A stroll through time, greedy and unavoidable.

DOMAINE DU VAL D'ARGAN

Winery

Charles Mélia established his vineyards near Essaouira in 1994. As a winegrower in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, he realized that Rhone grape varieties lent themselves perfectly to the local terroir. That's how, 30 years and 52 hectares later, Val d'Argan produces 200,000 bottles a year and blends 13 different grape varieties, from ugni blanc to clairette; from muscat noir to syrah, not forgetting mourvèdre. The estate is the only one of its kind in the region, as the vines are grown closer to Meknes, and the only organic vineyard in the whole country.

Gourmet friends, this is a very good address. You can also take a break between two walks, settle down in front of a tea or a noos-noos (coffee with milk) with a little sweetness. The original ghriba diel cacaw (peanut macaroons), among others, are worth the detour. There is a wide range of Moroccan cakes and other sweets to satisfy all taste buds. The shop is frequented by the Souiris, which is a good sign. Don't hesitate to bring home gazelle horns, they travel very well.

A real institution in Rabat where several generations have succeeded one another on the zellige benches of this café. Nestled between the Andalusian gardens and the kasbah, it offers the most pleasant terrace in the city. We have a mint tea accompanied by pastries, sticky as you like, with a clear view of the sea. Family atmosphere and very relaxed. On the heights of the city, you can enjoy the calm, the cool breeze and the birds singing. It's a must.
