The Circuit Circuit is a legend that revives thanks to the Museum which has opened its doors after many years to achieve it thanks to the passion and envy of the "friends of the Circuit circuit".
The history of the Circuit spread over 29 years from 1925 to 1954, representing 18 Grand Prix Cars and Motorcycles.
The place is also historic, simply located above the old, always visible, galleries that have their effect every time we go ahead. 20 000 people could hold with a view of the whole circuit. The total number of spectators in each race was more than 100 000, it gives insight into the notoriety of this circuit, and especially the number of spectators arriving by car at a time when it was reserved for an elite.
The number of circuits was also minimal across Europe, which increased its attractiveness.
The richness of this museum also lies in the number of objects of periods such as medals, plaques, posters, press articles… Time films allow even more imagining the vehicles passing in the forums but also the difficulty of piloting with amazing performances. Maurice Trintignant, René Dreyfus, Charles Pozzi for the French but also the F 1 world champion Alberto Ascari drove several times in Saint Gaudens.
The biggest brands, such as Bugatti led by Ettore Bugatti himself but also Mercedes, Alfa Romeo, Delahaye, among others, have shone on the Comminges trail.
The visit, therefore, is necessary for the amateurs of races, beautiful cars and simply all, starting with the Saint-Gaudinois, who must measure the richness of this beautiful heritage.
