The road on the Aquatique Aquatic Line is a land of between. For centuries, it has been an area of invasion and convoitise. Before the last world war, it will be protected by the Maginot line, based on the west on concrete and buried fortifications. In the Homburg-Haut sector, it is situated on a defensive zone favourable to flooding in the event of aggression and this is dependent on various artificial ponds such as those in Hoste. However, in Barst (bunkers, char wagon, trench reconstitution) the sector is typically fortified. Today these water fields are the paradise of fishermen and holidaymakers looking for peaceful places where you can recharge and take good time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
