The most beautiful parks and gardens Northeast

Nature lovers are attracted to the Logar Valley because of its unspoilt environment and many natural attractions. This unique valley was declared a landscape park in 1987. It contains more than 43 natural wonders, and the perimeter of the park includes Natura 2000 areas and other areas of important ecological character. The Logar Valley Trail will take you through many places of interest such as waterfalls, viewpoints and ethnographic sites.

Without falling into excessive exploitation, endangered medicinal plants grow inside a garden in their natural habitat. Visitors need to be aware of their benefits, but most importantly, they need to see how easy it is to grow them in their vegetable gardens. That is why a botanical garden with nearly 200 species of medicinal plants with descriptions of their virtues and properties is being established.

A walk of about 1 km through the woods to the sound of nearby streams and birdsong. Discover the heroes of Slovenian and international fairy tales such as Kekec, Bedanec, Martin Krpan, Snow White, Fifi Brindacier, Little Red Riding Hood... witches and other fantasies... a nice visit in an outdoor gallery of world memories, but also in the centenary family museum Korenček. An educational adventure for young and old, with nature being the best teacher. To be preferred in good weather!

A small mill, a smithy, a small sawmill, a traditional house... constitute the habitat of this park with its flowerbeds that can be walked through. Of course, the tulip is in the spotlight and reinforces the floral enchantment, as does the enchanting garden for young visitors. In the autumn, the locals come to watch Slovenia's biggest pumpkin competition, some of which can exceed 600 kg! Several exhibitions take place from April to September.
