December 3 is the feast day of the patron saint of Formentera's capital, Sant Francesc-Xavier. A large mass is held in the village church, followed by a procession of pious images. Afterwards, the traditional and joyful ball pagès take place in the church square. There are also many other activities related to the culture of Formentera. The day is also punctuated by concerts.
