HAZRETI ÖMER TEKKE

This mausoleum is located on the coastal road east of Kyrenia, just before Algadi beach. It houses the graves of an officer (Ömer) and six of his followers, belonging to the army of Muawiya. The latter fought the Arabs in the th century. The Ottomans recreate this mausoleum and mosque. You can visit a little kitsch, due to the renovations of the 1950 s.
