Choir and singing lessons

They meet once a week on Wednesdays (2-hour rehearsals) and 2 or 3 weekends a year. Rehearsals always take place in Paris, and weekends in the country. Around ten concerts a year (street festivals, Fête de la musique, Voix sur berges, Festival des cultures LGBT, gardens, cafés, churches, etc.) No auditions, registration possible all year round.

MELO’MEN

Choir and singing lessons

This choir, which brings together 50 gay singers or gay friendly singers, inspired by the great American choirs, has been in existence since 1994 and was then called the Gay International Gay choir in Paris. The level is quite high and the group has earned its nobility and takes place in France as abroad at festivals but also in prestigious concert halls such as the Olympia or Bercy. Classical repertoire mainly but also French and international varieties. The choir sings in French and English, but also in German, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Japanese, Latvian, Hungarian, among others.
The rehearsals take place in particular at the'Action Boris Vian, 6 bis cited Veron, 18 th arrondissement. They are open to the public.

One of the advantages of the Octave et Arpège school, located in Edouard Manet's apartment, is that you can enrol throughout the year, depending of course on availability. Within the framework of the music school (there is also a theatre school), two formulas are offered to adults: one, formula 1, including a 1/2 hour private singing lesson per week (in addition to group lessons, solfege and master class) and the other, formula 2, a 3/4 hour private singing lesson. The annual membership fee is €100 and the semi-annual fee is €540 for Formula 1 and €690 for Formula 2 (2018/19 season).
