You won't find another record shop like it in Paris. Christophe Lepreux, a former music salesman with a major chain of stores, ended up opening this unique place: La Cuve à Son, after years of fine-tuning his project. Before I talk about the music, let me confirm that, from the name of the place, you'll have understood that here, you can buy fine wines. As for sound, there's a vast choice: world, soul, French chanson... nothing's missing! Plenty of vinyl and, much rarer, a wide selection of cassettes.

The Europe district, behind the Saint-Lazare train station, is home to the majority of Parisian luthiers. So you'll find a number of specialized stores, including this one. Aliénor specializes in the sale of stringed instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass, viola da gamba, and has been doing so for decades. It also offers accessories: strings, cases, bows, covers, amplification cells, etc. Very active on the networks, the brand offers a variety of content on digital channels, to help you get to know it better.

Founded by Sandrine Raffin, the workshop offers a wide range of new and vintage bows, as well as luthiery-related accessories. The workshop team is made up of several experienced bow makers, including Jade Bigot and Juliette Marillier. Sandrine Raffin, who obtained her "brevet de Technicien en Lutherie" in 1991, joined the family business in 2005 and became its owner in 2007. She is currently president of the workshop, and plays an active role in repairing, restoring and making bows. Jade Bigot, after studying in Korea for three months, joined the family workshop in 2019. She devotes herself to restoring, repairing and making bows, while contributing to the management of the business. Juliette Marillier, meanwhile, trained in Italy and joined the workshop in 2015. She specializes in bow repair.

It's a splendid place, the fruit of a talented designer's imagination: black ceiling, vast armchairs, in short, something to have a drink in. This is precisely what this renowned record store now offers, in addition to selling hundreds of references - vinyl records only, displayed like works of art on the walls. The place is certainly chic, but also very trendy: you can drink healthy juices, organic teas or gluten-free cakes. But don't worry: the fundamentals remain the same: advice and choice are always excellent.

Imparable for fans of what is sometimes called "gay musical icons": this record store offers in its shelves the hits and albums of Madonna (especially), Mylène Farmer, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. The nostalgic ones will also be able to put in hand some collectors (CD and vinyl) of Sylvie Vartan, Marylin Monroe or Dalida, among others. Of course, the offer is not limited to female artists since you can also find Pet Shop Boys, George Michael or Boy George.

Well-known among vinyl lovers, this neighborhood boutique offers a wide and beautiful selection, both new and used. Jazz, funk, soul, bossa nova, salsa, reggae, Afro... the owners are connoisseurs of the finest music, so it's hardly surprising that they specialize in a wide range of styles. A warm welcome and a cosy atmosphere... all that's left to do is find that special someone. Turntables are available on site for listening. Superfly Records also has its own label, producing reissues that are much appreciated by connoisseurs. If you're looking for vinyl and good advice: this is the address for you!
