LE FIACRE

Tableware and china store
4/5

More than 30 years for this small piece of Great Britain in the middle of Paris, between the Republic and the Bastille. The Le Fiacre boutique is the perfect place for everything related to the art of the table in a so British sauce. After a wedding and a royal birth, a jubilee, a state visit, this English tableware shop looks like an English candy, sometimes sour, sometimes much more tender, depending on your taste. Tea cups, coffee, lunch, mugs, teapots with Big Ben sauce, are available in a wide range of brands, including the most famous. The store is not huge, but isn't that what makes it so charming?

Cristallerie de Paris was founded in 1958. She is specialized in tableware and decorative elements. Each product offered for sale has been rigorously selected for its quality, elegance and originality. The most famous brands are represented. We are particularly fond of creations related to the world of oenology, because glasses and decanters are irresistible! And then let's say it: here, you obviously find some very classic pieces, but others are much more modern, surprising, original. Finally, rely on the advice: excellent, as well as the welcome. A great address!

COUTELLERIE LAGUIOLE RENAUD

Cutlery

In this store near the Galeries Lafayette, the armory of yesteryear has regained its splendor and atmosphere of the 70s. On nearly 60 m², the knife has obviously a place of choice. The sharpening is also effective thanks to a workshop on the spot where the old scissors, knives, secateurs and other cutting parts are pampered. But the stars of this store are the knives, Laguiole of course. Beautiful, real, traditional knives! A sure value.

COUTEAU DE LAGUIOLE ILE SAINT-LOUIS

Cutlery

It is a real Ali Baba's cave, luxurious and intimate, in which Laguiole knives are mixed with those of the Japanese Kai, the Michel Bras collection, the multicolored Opinel, but also all the arts of the table. You will also find the famous Laguiole knife, the real one, which is beautiful and authentic. Luxury in a passionate setting, which the owner will explain to you in the manner of a goldsmith: the forged, hand-carved, double platinum bee.

It is in a magnificent gallery open on the rue du Bac that Marisa Osorio-Farinha and Philippe Chupin, two renowned designers, receive their customers to offer them a multitude of objects and accessories around the arts of the table: placemats or decorated plates, cutlery... Upstairs, there is also a beautiful collection of embroidered linen as well as various cushions and plaids. This renowned house only uses French craftsmen, which is why it is classified as a "Living Heritage Company". Temporary exhibitions of arts and crafts are regularly held on the premises. PLASTIQUES

Tableware

Plastic, tacky or childish objects? Not at all! Entering this store you is learning about a world you thought you would reject. You'll find behind Plastiques a world of colors, shapes and good humor that is nothing but the world of Muguette Rouot, the creator of the house in 1975. It's pop, light and with a touch of humor. In two nearby shops, you will find a multitude of accessories and many utensils in more vivid colours. Salt and pepper pots, trays, tea strainers, sugar bowls, everything here is plastic, as the name of the shop indicates. Perfect for everyday life! We very much like the very colorful plastic tablecloths, the pouch-shaped bag, the owl-shaped teapot…

ARGENTERIE D'ANTAN

Tableware

The district of Place des Vosges is synonymous with chic, tradition and elegance, it is valid for clothing shops and jewelry shops so, why not transpose this to the silverware? Leave the square towards the Seine and you will fall in the rue de Birague, where this store with evocative name is nestled. It was in 2007 that Corinne Javaloyès opened this establishment tribute to the French silverware from the 18th century to the present days. The store specializes in antique silver, silver coins displayed on the shelves and walls are the proof of this. Here, you can find pieces that are no longer manufactured or whose silversmiths have disappeared (such as Boulenger, Ravinet d 'Enfert, Frionnet François…), and contemporary (Christofle, Ercuis, Puiforcat…), a hallmark guaranteeing that this is a solid silver. You don't find only silver cutlery in this store but also tea and coffee services, table accessories as well as items dedicated to wines and cocktails. The extra: the address offers a service of brightening and/or cleaning of your cutlery.
