Read moreIt is the main departure point for the maritime shuttles to the islands of the Saintes archipelago. During the Second World War, this pier was the rallying point for volunteers who left for Dominica to try to join the Free French Forces. A lighthouse, built in 1948, dominates this pier. The area is provided with bars, restaurants, stores of all kinds. It is very busy during the tourist season.
