Iloilo-General Santos City

A daily trip to Manila, except on Wednesday and Saturday, departures in the evening (except Monday, at 15 pm). Take about 22 hours of journey. Rates range from 760 to 3 440 P per person without meals and comfort, between 886 and 3 800 P with meals.

For Cagayan de Oro, three departures per week on Mondays (morning), Thursday and Saturday (evening). From 8 to 9 hours of journey.

For Sur City, departure every Sunday at 8 pm. Take approximately 6 hours of travel.

Towards Manila. A weekly departure Friday at am. Arrival on Saturday at 15 am.

Towards Ozamiz (Mindanao). A departure per week, on Saturdays at 5 pm. Arrival at 12 p. m.

More modern than the north bus station, it's from the south terminal that buses leave for destinations... in the south of the island. How logical. So if you want to get to the touristy town of Moalboal, to Argao (from where ferries leave for Bohol) or to the southern tip and town of Bato (ferry junction with the island of Negros), this is the place to be. Fares vary according to the standard of the bus. Finally, by cab, count PHP 600 and 45 minutes to/from Mactan airport and PHP 200 and 15 minutes to/from the north terminal.

This is the north terminal of the bus station, opposite the SM City mall (cabs know it). There's no signposting for the uninitiated traveller, but don't panic... just tell a driver your destination and he'll tell you which bus to catch. You pay on the bus (bring change). Departures for Danao (where boats leave for Camotes), Maya (for Malapascua) and Hagnaya (for Bantayan), among others. Leave well in advance if you need to catch a boat, as traffic jams in Cebu can be monstrous.

Singapore service once a day, at a. m. or p. m. Cebu, p. m. Singapore. 3 hours 30 min and 6 hours 10 min.

Other position: City Hall, at the corner of Magallanes Street, Burgos Street and Provincial Capitol on Osmaña Boulevard.

The only city served is Caticlan: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday in Cebu at 13 p. m., from Caticlan at 11 p. m.

Manila-Iloilo

This is the agency recommended by the tourist office to organize your expeditions around Dumaguete. They are available by phone or you can go directly to the place, next to the Hayahay restaurant. Among the proposed tours: a day (all inclusive) at Apo Island to snorkel with the turtles, the Twin Lakes by kayak and trek, or the famous Casaroro waterfalls also as a trek.
