Read moreNot easy to find because there is no sign. Take a minibus from the centre and get off at Plaza Tomas-Katari, facing the cemetery, where the flower market stands. The office is located at the corner of the street. Tickets (to go only) are purchased the day before for about 15 BS. Seven daily departures, especially before noon. Take the morning bus to get the first on the site. In front of the bus stop, points of sale offer mineral water, bread and biscuits. The 71 km journey takes place in old American buses of the 1960 s. Their final destination is Guaqui, but they all pass through Tiwanaku. For the return point, point of sale of tickets on the place of the village of Tiwanaku.
The bus stop is on the square, next to the town hall. In the bus, ask if it stops in El Alto or near the cemetery. If it is deposited in El Alto, take the minibus marked "Centro" or "San Francisco" to La Paz.
