In the evening, on the quay of the Ferries, Place Vaiete and its 1,200 m² paved square are filled with pick-up trucks and restaurants with various specialities. The illuminated square is always crowded with people and an orchestra regularly plays there. The warmth and smell of the grills are an integral part of the picturesque setting of the site. It's hard to choose between Chinese, Italian, French or purely Polynesian specialities; no doubt you'll enjoy it!

Opened in 1968, this is an open-air restaurant with a shaded terrace that is very pleasant to enjoy pizzas, pasta, sashimi, carpaccios and traditional raw fish with coconut milk. Some consider that pizzas made with wood fire are the best in the city: it's up to you to get an idea, at least there's no shortage of choices! Every day, the menu is completed with a special dish of the day, and here again, the chef is well inspired. That week in particular, pork cheeks candied in red wine, beef bourguignon and tuna poached in court-bouillon.

Thematic evenings are organized twice a month, while each week a specific program is held: Paella on Wednesday noon, couscous on Thursday noon, jazz blues open on Thursday evening and karaoke on Friday from 3 p. m.
