FAREREI HAGA

Every year in September, Farerei Haga hosts a week-long event in Rangiroa. Like a small Heiva specifically celebrating the Paumotu culture, the festivities bring together different atolls of the Tuamotus around traditional sports meetings - javelin throwing and stone lifting in particular. An official jury is moving specially from Tahiti! In the evening, on the public beach of Papaputa, beautiful dance shows are given.
