Sit out on the lush green patio or indoors to enjoy the sofas and pleasant rustic decor. You'll also find an outdoor equipment store on site, ideal for preparing your hikes.

This pleasant family restaurant, directed by a passionate chef, offers authentic Mayan cuisine, prepared with contemporary means and products from local producers: manioc, river snails, forest plants and vegetables, etc. The menu includes duck, wild boar and rabbit, but one of the most emblematic dishes is the quail in cocoa sauce, covered with ants. The drink of the place is called sangre de jaguar, a cocktail made with mezcal. Unedited, surprising and delicious: in short, not to be missed!

El Caldero offers soups, broths and bouillons, perfect for warming up after a good day of walking. You'll be spoilt for choice with vegetable, rabbit, mutton, beef, shrimp, noodle and chicken dishes. A real complete meal in a big bowl. The place also offers traditional breakfast dishes, namely chilaquiles, enchiladas and eggs prepared as you like. Simple and cheap.
