In the middle of the Promenade de la Concha stands out the panoramic rotunda of La Perla, a thalassotherapy centre dating from 1912, with its columns lined with mosaics. Already towards the end of the 19th century, the regent Maria Cristina used to come here to bathe in the sea when the centre was still a modest wooden hut. Today, it is equipped with all the top-of-the-range facilities: cold water pools, hydrotherapy, waterfall, marine steam bath, sauna... Many treatments are also offered, most of them in sea water.
