The bicycle club Les Amis du cyclisme de la commune de Contern (ACCC) was founded in 1976. Among the main events organised each year under its aegis is the Grand-Prix François Faber, the oldest road race in Luxembourg. It was first run in 1918. Or the Charly Gaul ride, a cyclist-sportsman's ride on a hilly course attracting between 500 and 1,000 cyclists, whether simple amateurs or seasoned riders.

Traffic information, a calendar of organized events and outings, advice, maps of bicycle paths in Luxembourg... This is all you can find on the website and in the offices of the ASBL ProVelo.lu (Lëtzebuerger Vëlosinitiativ). This association works for the improvement of the safety conditions of cyclists and promotes the bicycle as a means of transport. It is also this association that introduced, together with the Ministry of Tourism, the label bed+bike.
