The high windows of the facade of this old building are enhanced by climbing plants whose colors break the relative chromatic monotony of the streets of the village. One enters through a large room where sofas and sitting areas invite one to sip an agua fresca and to read a book. The restaurant is installed in its extension, under a palapa where the plants are, again, omnipresent. From the kitchen, where you can see wood-burning stoves, the very local aromas honor the Yucatecan gastronomy.

Under a palapa cradled in tropical vegetation, the "Monkey Cave" offers healthy Mexican cuisine prepared with natural ingredients. Breakfast is varied, including fruit crepes, yogurt, cereals and chilaquiles. At lunchtime, the restaurant serves salads, sandwiches and some Mexican specialties, while in the evening, the new Mexican cuisine is in the spotlight with elaborate fish and seafood specialties, accompanied by sauces made with chili peppers and fruits. Also a great variety of vegan dishes.

The Parroquía is located next to a youth hostel of the same name. By borrowing one or other sidewalk from the street, this restaurant is priceless. It jumps in sight thanks to its huge room, which is perfectly decorated with black and white tiles and high ceilings under ceiling. Economic and popular, the place puts forward regional dishes and offers formulas to take.

In a beautiful colonial building, this restaurant serves good Mexican cuisine, which is very close to the marine world. Some dishes are cheap, others much more expensive like those based on camarones. The service is a bit slow, but the atmosphere is pretty good.

This small, unpretentious family restaurant is known as one of the best places to have breakfast. The room is cheerful and colourful, but it can be hot, so prefer the shady terrace which offers a little more air and the spectacle of the street. The specialities of the house are the "cazuelas", eggs in a casserole with different vegetables, cooked in earthenware ramekins. Fresh fruit juices, omelettes and pancakes of all kinds, accompanied by a very good coffee. The portions are generous and the service is nice.

Kondesa is a gourmet Caribbean Mexican restaurant where you can enjoy fresh, creative dishes with local products. In a bohemian chic style, you can dine under the stars and feel the whole atmosphere of Cozumel. The dishes change according to the season and we recommend you especially the fish dishes. For the amateurs of the local version of land and sea, you have the surf & turf which is an Angus meat served with a local lobster. Very good address, where you can also taste succulent cocktails.

La Clasica is a place where you can eat well, where the portions are generous and the prices remain very low. There are dishes to share, including tostadas for those who are a little hungry and other more hearty dishes like burritos. You can have a good time drinking a corona and listening to the music. It is a young and lively place, perfect to enjoy your stay in Cozumel. You can also go there just to have a drink with friends. Definitely a friendly place that we recommend!
