TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING

Created in 1983 to reward the best surfer in Hawaii, the Triple Crown of Surfing is by far the most important sporting competition on the archipelago. It takes place on the beaches of the North Shore of O'ahu. The Reef Hawaiian Pro is the first of three events, testing the skill and speed of the surfers. Second, the Vans World Cup of Surfing is a test of courage. Finally, the Billabong Pipe Masters is the last of the three events, on the fearsome Banzai Pipeline. The event brings together surfers and visitors from around the world.
