OUGLITCH RESERVOIR SLUICE

At km 310, before arriving in Ouglitch, the ship passes under an impressive triumphal arch. This arch, which is located at the entrance to the town's power station, commemorates the victory over Germany at the end of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), which was particularly harsh on the banks of the Volga. This lock allows a descent of 11 m. Still in operation, the power station needs only two people to operate.
