In hideous buildings in the middle of a low-income neighborhood. This is where the alternative scene is nestled. A counterculture complex, which looks like a squat with huge parties on Saturday nights, quality concerts, artists' workshops, music studios... A "utopia" café, alternative rock and other dissident music at full blast, drinks at derisory prices. If you want to meet the leftists, artists or Polish zoners.

While Warsaw is undoubtedly the Polish capital of neon signs, Wrocław boasts some of the most photographed signs, such as the giant Dobry Wieczór we Wrocławiu (Good evening to Wrocław) in front of the central station. The Neon Side Gallery/bar features a remarkable collection of neon signs, hung in the bar's courtyard, as well as inside. The choice of cocktails isn't huge, but the place is worth a visit for its collection of signs and the few Communist-era objects inside.

A small café where one feels easily at ease and where the hours fly by if one is not a bit careful. In the room, old vinyl records are available to customers who can choose them and then ask the staff to play them on the beautiful turntable of collection which is highlighted on the spot. There are big comfortable armchairs to lounge around in to the sound of your favorite hits in the red lined decoration and filled with black and white picture frames. Very good homemade cakes.

This independent cinema is one of the city's major cultural centers, and has been an institution since its creation a few years ago. It stands out from traditional multiplexes thanks to its distinctive style and daring programming, which doesn't forget the big releases (in the manner of Parisian Mk2s). The New Horizons film festival is held here every summer. There's also a friendly café where you can grab a bite to eat on the go.
