Founded in 1800, Pod Różą is the oldest hotel in Kraków. Recently renovated, it is very comfortable, the rooms are spacious and decorated soberly but with style, playing on contrasting materials rather than furniture. Its location is both an advantage and a problem: it overlooks the beautiful Floriańska Avenue, which is also the beating heart of the nightlife, so the rooms on the street are very noisy. Its two restaurants are still excellent, although they are no longer the benchmark they were a few years ago.

In the center of Krakow's Old Town, the new Indigo Group hotel is located near the Florian Gate.

The hotel's decor is based on the history and richness of the area. The 56 rooms have their own personality with decoration inspired by former students and artists of the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts. The hotel's restaurant, Le Filipa 1, offers traditional cuisine made from local products.

Let's Rock is a party hostel, don't go there if you want a quiet night. Everything on the premises is geared towards partying and the locals are full of contagious energy. The hosts and hostesses speak perfect English and are very warm and sociable (they have to be, considering the specialty of the establishment). Every night, one of them will accompany you for the good-natured and festive pub crawl that Let's Rock is known for: camaraderie and meetings guaranteed. On the negative side: the party people who come in at all hours and the dirtiness of the common areas.

This hostel is not a hostel but a very good apartment-hotel, with competitive prices. It is very well located, about 100 meters from the Rynek, near one of the hot spots of the nightlife. Moreover, you are located just above a discotheque, so be careful if you are sensitive to noise pollution (which remains very livable)! The rooms are pleasant, with a modern decoration on the theme of the pink flamingo -the emblem of the house- and the bedding is good. The staff, renowned for its kindness, ensures a very comfortable and friendly stay.

This guesthouse, located in a beautiful 19th-century villa across the Vistula from the Wawel, is not exactly in the city center, but it offers a unique, intimate and decidedly Polish experience. The 14 rooms, old-fashioned, in white and cream tones and surrounded by the vegetation of the garden, are a carbon copy of the small country hotels built in the 1980s for Westerners. The service, the Polish cuisine restaurant and the breakfast are all typical of what was the norm even twenty years ago.

Without a doubt one of the best hotels on your route for miles around. Its charm starts with its location on a hilltop in the middle of the Jura Mountains with a magnificent view of the castle. Then, its ultramodern architecture impresses and puts you in the right mood for its 42 spacious and modern rooms with elegant and refined design. To top it all off: swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam bath available to guests.

Very pretty and welcoming rooms in this guesthouse surrounded by a large green park. There's also an excellent restaurant serving traditional Polish cuisine. The house is dedicated to providing a service for tourists, and the standard is fully in line with that expected of a mountain chalet abroad. The staff are well-versed in English and will be happy to help you put together an à la carte stay in the park and surrounding area. It's an excellent pied-à-terre for those wishing to stay a few days.

In the old Ordynacki mill, whose windows offer a beautiful view of the pond with its bucolic "chapel on the water", this wooden inn offers single, double or triple rooms with individual bathrooms for an unbeatable price. The rooms are all modern and tastefully decorated in a very "mountain" style. The common areas are completely rustic, with even a boar's head on the wall in the entrance. Its friendly restaurant serves local specialties.

Another charming house that doubles as a bed and breakfast (there is no shortage of beautiful historic houses in this city). The difference with its neighbors is that this one, which is located on the street, a few steps from the Rynek, traditionally hosts writers. The atmosphere of the establishment is unique, intimate and transports you to another century, it feels like being part of a 19th century family, with very well arranged and comfortable antique furniture. If you manage to get a place, you will have a great stay.

This very small hotel occupies the building of an old synagogue from the 18th century. In this quite exceptional setting are installed 4 very cosy rooms, half of which have been renovated to the most modern standards with bathroom. It is very comfortable. To combine business with pleasure, the hotel offers its guests a fully equipped kitchen, a sauna and mountain bikes. All in all, a superb place that keeps the charm of the old Jewish Kazimierz and that we recommend if you manage to get a place.

A few kilometers from Zwierzyniec, this renovated former farmhouse is located in the heart of the park, on top of a gentle hill. It has 7 beautiful modern double rooms with private bathrooms, a large kitchen and a living room with a large terrace. It is also possible to rent a studio with direct access to the two ponds on the property. The centuries-old forest of Jan Zamoyski, the wheat fields as far as the eye can see, the farm's orchard, the water lilies in the ponds create an almost unreal country idyll. Bicycles and vegetables from the garden are available.

Ideally located next to the Planty, at the gateway to the Rynek and with a solid quality/price ratio, this apartment-hotel is one of our favorites. The 7 apartments in the complex have all been renovated to a high standard in gray and white tones, are spacious and very bright with fully equipped kitchens, modern bathrooms, etc. Choose the apartments that still have their superb old parquet floors or ask for those overlooking the university. Breakfast (three options to choose from) is served only on request in room service.

The Bristol is one of the oldest hotels still operating in the city, a sign that something is going right! The beginning of the answer lies in its good location, right in the city center and overlooking the pedestrian street in the heart of Kielce life. The other part of its success lies in its 27 very comfortable rooms, each with a kitchenette and a desk in the style of an apartment hotel. In the morning, a buffet breakfast is served to guests. Certainly the best value for money in the city.

Close to the bus and rail stations and the Krakow University of Technology, the hotel is located in the heart of Krakow, only 1 km from the old market square. There are 167 comfortable rooms with shower and toilet, 2 rooms suitable for disabled guests. To take forces before the visit, the Ibis Budget Kraków Trench Miasto offers a buffet breakfast, beverage and snack distributors located in the reception and available 24 hours a day.

In the heart of the old town, the Frenchman Pierre and his wife Anna welcome you in comfortable and nicely decorated rooms and apartments, and above all remarkably well located at 10m from the Rynek. Some of them offer views of the main square and the Cloth Hall (the only ones offered at these prices). Breakfast is served in the vaulted cellar of the restaurant, one of the most famous in the city. The staff is bilingual and very welcoming, which makes your trip much easier. A friendly and smart address!

Overlooking the Planty, the Wyspianski offers simple, no-frills, but clean and functional rooms that are gradually being refurbished. Most of the double rooms have two separate single beds, which makes them a good option if you are traveling with friends or a group. This is also the perspective of the large dining room that can accommodate up to 140 people. Overall, this hotel has a very interesting price/quality ratio considering its location! Don't stay up too late if you want to enjoy the breakfast buffet.

Located just above the café with the same name (same owner), this small B&B has four rather charming rooms under the roof with all the necessary comforts, but also completely outdated and a little worn in places. The delicious breakfast is served in the very nice café on the first floor and includes toast, pancakes and salads. The location on Wolnica Square is rather strategic, in the middle of several transport routes while being in the residential part of Kazimierz and therefore very quiet in the evening.

Functional rooms with a good balance between modern and old. Near Barbacane.

Pretty, stylish manor house in a very pleasant, rather rustic setting, in the middle of a beautiful forest. A little away from the center, but in a very green part of town. Rooms decorated in warm colors, with balcony. High-quality restaurant. The hotel is part of a hotel group that also includes thermal baths. A choice stopover in the region, and a good place to put down your suitcases. Rates are extremely reasonable, especially as the hotel includes a spa and wellness center.

Surrounded by a wooded garden, the medieval castle of Korzkiew offers a prestigious and intimate guesthouse with only four charming rooms with fireplace and private bathroom. The original structure of the castle has been perfectly preserved, while the interiors have been renovated. The final result is a mix of modern comfort with the old beauty that keeps the original architectural elements. An absolutely charming address, but from the Covid, it is only accessible for rent (which is very expensive).

This American-style villa enjoys an ideal location, overlooking the beautiful Bobolice Castle. In the middle of the suggestive landscape of the Polish Jura, it offers elegant and rather modern rooms. The wooden furniture guarantees a warm and cosy atmosphere. Moreover, the house has a restaurant with local cuisine right next door, which is a blessing in this rather isolated region. Among the hotel's services, free Wi-Fi and private parking are available on site.

This small hotel has clean, modern and relatively bright rooms. In summer, you can even enjoy a large swimming pool outside the hotel and outdoor games for children. It also has camping pitches open to both motorhomes and tents. In the camping area, communal areas (such as toilets and showers) are in plastic cabins... It's not the greatest luxury, but less than 2 km from the salt mines, it's a godsend and a very practical holiday resort.

Small hotel with 10 double rooms and two apartments, not far from the monastery. The rooms are elegant and comfortable. In a slightly regulator position.

The hotel occupies a renovated historic building in the center of town, and features 35 elegant, bright and well-maintained rooms. The standard is that of the countryside and the St. Croix region, not that of the city, so expect interiors that are a little old-fashioned but sympathetic. In any case, it does the job well, and the full buffet breakfast offered in the morning for an extra charge is a very pleasant way to start the day. All in all, a fine hotel with very respectable facilities.

Charming hotel with spa offering a wide range of treatments. Comfortable and comfortable, even if it is sometimes a bit old.

Located in the city of Krakow, the Aleje 28 Hostel is a budget hotel offering good value for money. Rooms are basic but comfortable, and facilities include free parking, free Wi-Fi and an airport shuttle. The abbey has a boarding house where you can put down your suitcases. It's a place full of history and charm. Here, you can experience Benedictine traditions in the company of the monks who pray and work here. If you wish, you can also join the monks in their work and prayers, and you are allowed to talk to the fathers. As long as you respect the rules of life at this thousand-year-old monastery, you can look forward to a comfortable and spiritual stay (or at least a quiet rest).

Located 8 km south of Ogrodzienec, this beautiful house is not far from the Błędowska desert and is surrounded by a large garden of almost 3 ha. It offers guest rooms or apartment for 4 people. Built in 1941, the house has been completely renovated. It has a very sober decoration, of very good taste without being too sought after or ostentatious. The main quality of the place is its very quiet location, in the middle of the countryside and benefiting from the proximity of the nearby forest.

Far from the centre, on a long street that encircles the Quartier Huta area, which has no good reputation but the advantage of being well connected with the centre.

The Zosia is a large, mountain-style "villa" built of wood on the slopes of the Golden Mountain or Złota Góra, 500 m from the village in the Ojców National Park. The building dates back to the 1940s, but the interior is quite modern. There are around ten fairly inexpensive rooms with 2 to 5 beds, half of which share a bathroom in the corridor. Breakfast and meals served at the hotel are available on payment of a supplement. A good option if you're in the area.

Located on the border with Ukraine, in the middle of forests and fields, this farm welcomes visitors in comfortable and bright rooms. On the farm there are many horses owned and cared for by the owners. The meals, delicious, are home-made, with local organic products. Of course, the hosts offer the possibility of horseback riding in the woods and even horseback riding courses for adults and children (provided that you can get over the language barrier). A very thematic stay!

Located a few kilometers south of Zweirzyniec, this farm is surrounded by the beautiful forests of the Roztoczanski National Park. It offers simple and comfortable guest rooms and on the premises, peace and quiet are guaranteed. The wonderful owner prepares delicious meals of traditional Polish cuisine to order. It is a good base for taking the park's hiking trails and nearby bike paths.

Situated on a hill at the end of the village, surrounded by fields and forests and 1 km from the Roztoczanski National Park, this farmhouse is sure to charm you. Two houses are available: a wooden "old house" with a thatched roof, tastefully restored and furnished in the Polish style, and a "green house" with a mezzanine, furnished with the same taste. The whole, comfortable, relaxed and in the middle of a dazzling nature, guarantees a wonderful stay.

Three minutes walk from the Rynek, the Wielopole is a very basic hotel, but what it does, it does well. It is therefore very popular with tourists who don't want to invest in their own accommodation. The front desk staff is helpful. The rooms are rather small and old-fashioned, in the style of the 2000s, but refreshed and very clean. The bedding is good and the hotel is quiet. Its restaurant is open every day of the week and offers a buffet breakfast, mostly savory, very complete and appreciated by the guests!

Not far from the old town, this hotel, which lacks charm, has 23 simple rooms that are a bit small but well-equipped and clean, in a secluded and therefore quiet and green area. The breakfast served on the spot is copious and tasty and its Polish cuisine restaurant is not to be outdone. The hotel often hosts local parties, so don't be surprised to see dozens of Poles arrive on certain evenings. The staff is warm and welcoming. All in all, no surprises for the price and a good stop on your way.

This large wooden house guarantees its visitors a rural stay, but with all the necessary comfort, in an enchanting setting. Its real added value lies in the accessibility of all the services that one could want in this natural park. The land is located in the heart of a forest with a river and a small pond, you have the possibility to smoke fish and meat on the barbecue or in the fireplace, Polish cuisine is homemade on request, sauna on site. Possibility to rent bicycles, canoes and small boats.

Located in the city centre, with rooms overlooking the Wawel hill. Thanks to its conference space of 340 m ², wi-fi and parking, this place is ideal for business meetings. After a long day, relax in leisure complex: swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, massage and beauty treatments. The restaurant Garden Brasserie offers international cuisine.

Original lodging since it is located in the premises of the Jagiellonian University: 23 single, double or triple rooms spread over three floors in a very beautiful building with a superbly restored stairwell, a combination of wood and wrought iron (ask for those in the historical building and not Oficyna). Parquet floors, high ceilings, old stove in some huge rooms, nothing is missing! To top it off, it's very central in the old town. You have hotel services included, such as breakfast and maid service.

One of the most luxurious hotels in Krakow, built along the Vistula, according to a very modern unusual architecture, in which the Wawel castle is reflected. Even if you do not choose to stay here, the façade is worth a look. Pool, atrium and terrace on the top floor with bar and views of the Vistula river and the Wawel hill.

Part of a hotel belonging to the Grand Maréchal Royal of the First Republic of Poland, Stanislaw Lubomirski, Maltański offers 16 cosy and very welcoming rooms. A short walk from the old town, it is on the Planty park, which guarantees visitors an atmosphere of peace for relaxation. Several rooms also have a small private patio. 

A great location... and not much else. This small hotel is located in a lovely pedestrian street, in the heart of Kazimierz but out of the main roads or the main nightlife hot spots, so it's very quiet. The interior is clearly outdated and the decoration of the rooms is a bit old-fashioned, in brown tones that do not help the case. But at this price, we can't really be picky! Ask for the rooms with a small terrace (overlooking the Remu cemetery).

Magnificent and very stylish apartments, located in a red brick building from xix^e century. The agency also organises the transfer to/from the airport.

The twenty or so apartments that make up this apartment-hotel are located in a modern building at the entrance to the Kazimierz district. These apartments, which range from a 30 m² studio to a 70 m² three-room apartment, are all new, modern, comfortable and rather pleasant. All of them are also equipped with a kitchenette for those who want to go easy on the restaurant bill. The hotel services part is not left out either and the staff is welcoming. The rooms are cleaned (roughly) every day and the breakfast is very good.

This eight-room B&B is housed in a 16th century building in the heart of downtown. It offers a slightly more intimate, homestay experience than the hotels that dot the area. However, don't be fooled, you're in the heart of the city, on one of the main thoroughfares, so the rooms on the street are noisy. The "authentic" setting does not hide the poor condition of the facilities, which is a bit daring considering the price asked. The hosts on the other hand are exceptional and a good breakfast is served in the Tango café on the first floor.
