Becalou Canoe Kayak was created by Sophie Bégin, a former top-level kayak-polo athlete. You can rent a kayak by the hour for a trip through the salt meadows. For a longer experience, you can take your picnic and sail all the way to the Arcachon Basin! If you'd like to be supervised by a professional, themed outings are available: sunset in the salt meadows, kayaking and astronomy, ornithology, botany or oyster farming, as well as a hike to Île aux Oiseaux and breakfast at sunrise.

Discover Bayonne, Ustaritz, Cambo and Itxassou by canoe-kayak from the banks of the Adour and Nive rivers, following the rhythm of the downstream currents with Antoine and Aurélien, both seasoned experts in this discipline, which can be practiced by people aged 7 (accompaniment compulsory) to 77 (and over), provided they know how to swim and are in good shape. Guided tours are available in both calm and swift waters. Whether you're a family, solo or duo, or a group of friends, it's a time for sharing and conviviality. Want to discover the Little Amazon on a canoe trip? Aline and Arnauld offer canoe rentals with a focus on human relations and nature. From the age of 7 upwards, various half-day or full-day canoe routes, from 6 to 20 kilometers, allow you to observe a landscape dotted with historical vestiges, while taking advantage of the cool waters of the Gave d'Oloron for a swim between a few paddle strokes. Whitewater rafting is not just for the more athletic. All activities can be supervised.

Surprising as it may seem, you can canoe, kayak, pirogue or even stand-up paddle on the Garonne. With its pontoon and slipway, this associative nautical club based at the Chantiers de la Garonne also offers surf training and outings on the ocean. As a member of the club, you'll soon be able to master sea oars and paddle boards! From the clubhouse, you can also take advantage of the breathtaking view over the Garonne to enjoy a beer brewed by the Brasserie de la Lune, which shares the premises.

The best time to explore the joys of river sliding is from April to November. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you'll enjoy gliding down the Pas de Roland gorges, a listed natural site, following the river's capricious course in the heart of a wild environment. You'll be spoilt for choice of activities, including rafting, canorafting, hydrospeed, stand-up paddle, tubing and more. You can also go canyoning, aquarando, climbing, caving and much more.

In addition to the boat and canoe trips offered by the Maison de la Nature du Bassin d'Arcachon, located at the entrance to the Parc Ornithologique, there is another area dedicated to nature and family leisure activities. This leisure center has over 20 years' experience in welcoming the public. Here (almost) everything is possible: kayak or canoe hire, with a choice of two routes of 10 or 20 km, bike hire for exploring the basin's trails, and guided horseback rides in the forest and along the river (allow 1 hour).

Stade Montois canoë-kayak organizes self-guided canoe trips on the Midouze. Half-day or full-day trips are available on a calm, shady river, accessible to paddlers of all levels. In summer, departure is from Mont-de-Marsan town center, at the foot of the tourist office. Departures from the Tartas tourist office are also available. An unforgettable outdoor activity on a river accessible to all.

Yak'Ocean offers you a wide range of activities to discover the Arcachon basin in complete privacy, including Île aux Oiseaux, cabanes tchanquées, Dune du Pilat, Banc d'Arguin and Lac de Cazaux-Sanguinet (40). The Leyre, sometimes referred to as the "little Amazon", lends itself wonderfully to a trip on the water. Amazone Canoë offers full-day and half-day tours. Nathaniel will take you up the river to its delta. Discover the wild flora and fauna of the area and let yourself glide downstream. Other walks: the Canal des Landes, Ile aux Oiseaux, Banc d'Arguin... Possibility of multi-day outings (from two to five days) from Sabre to Le Teich, a distance of 90 kilometers. The Leyre is a veritable biological conservatory, home to remarkable and original flora and fauna. Courant d'Eyre offers a wide range of canoeing and kayaking activities on the Little Amazon, including full-day, half-day, morning and afternoon trips. Sailing time (excluding shuttle and breaks) is around 2 hours for a half-day and 4h30 for a full day. Courant d'Eyre also rents out paddles. Think of it for a birthday party or a stag/hen party. New for 2023: an escape game for children.

Fancy a canoe trip on the Dordogne? If so, don't hesitate to make an appointment with Canoë Castillonnais by phone or on Facebook. The company offers two routes of 6 to 12 km, departing from Lamothe-Montravel and Pessac-sur-Dordogne. Allow around 1h30 for the first route and 3h for the second. Meet at Les Batailleurs campsite! Departures are possible in the morning or afternoon. This is a great activity for two, family or friends. Reservations recommended!

Explore the white waters of the Basque country between sea and mountains at the Cocktail Aventure leisure park. This secure enclave offers rafting (in unsinkable inflatable boats), inflatable canoeing and hydrospeed in waters of exceptional quality. These boats can accommodate up to 10 people. Among the most enchanting sites in the Basque Country, the Nive river and the area around Bidarray offer a truly spectacular backdrop. This activity is a truly invigorating return to nature!

Canoe trips from the Ur Ondoa rental base offer the ideal experience for families and groups, in complete safety (life jackets are compulsory). The routes are accessible to all, provided you can swim. The hour-and-a-half ride takes place on the most peaceful part of the Nivelle, while thrill-seekers can opt for the hour-and-a-half to two-hour descent to the Roman bridge at Ascain.

Nautilclub is a sailing and boat rental school on the Biscarrosse-Parentis lake. Catamaran, funbord, dinghy, paddle, pedalo, kayak... Created by Sophie Begin, the manager of Bécalou canoe-kayak, Arès Kayak Nature is an environmental awareness association whose aim is to help you discover the local biodiversity of the Parc Naturel Marin du Bassin d'Arcachon and the surrounding area... in a rabaska! This "big canoe" is ideal for those who don't want to get too wet. You'll be guided along the water by an enthusiastic expert in this natural environment. On the program: bird island, oyster beds, barnacles...

Departing from Saugnac for the day, or Moustey for the half-day, kayak or canoe down the Leyre to Belin-Beliet. You can choose to go out on your own, or be accompanied by a qualified instructor who will show you the forest and its biodiversity over a few kilometers. There's also a treasure hunt for you and your family, with clues left in the logbook of a lost adventurer... Get ready to explore the valley and solve the riddles, without fear of getting wet!

La Palue is a small river that you can canoe down with the Castets club (affiliated to the French Canoeing Federation). Summer is the ideal period for leisurely descents. Starting from the base (from 10am to 4.30pm), 8 kilometres of discovery and relaxation in the heart of the Landes forest are offered to you. Good news, swimming is allowed. The canoe can accommodate up to 3 people (2 adults and 1 child). The best thing is still to book!
