David, a native of Aquitaine, fell in love with this estate located in the heart of the Thur valley at an altitude of 800 m, in the midst of exceptional natural surroundings. New owner, new location! The estate offers chalets for rent, foie gras breeding and production, a local store, as well as a hotel and a restaurant serving local, traditional, seasonal cuisine. The bread is homemade. Foie gras comes in all shapes and sizes, with many original dishes, such as foie gars mi-cuit aux fraises Tagada (semi-cooked foie gras with Tagada strawberries). Another original feature is the cassoulet from Lot-et-Garonne offered by David, who remains faithful to his origins. His ambition is to turn this tranquil spot into an open, more contemporary place. In three years' time, he hopes to see 3 stars on the estate's nameplate when the current project is completed: a tasting room, a new intimate 9-room hotel, a duck farm and a cuisine that will remain local with the help of small producers and winegrowers from the Haute-Rhin region. In the meantime, treat yourself to one of our themed evenings, such as whisky and foie gras.
