Contemporary art center, hosting artists from all over the world

Built in 1909, this former distillery has been making for almost a century the famous bitter with plants. After its closure in 2000, the building, which has been restored as a contemporary art centre, welcomes artists from all over the world. Today the Foundation offers a space of 1,500m2 with contemporary art as a common thread. With its bar area and bookshop, there is something to delight all spectators. The Fernet-Branca Foundation is the only museum to be part of the Museum Night circuit that takes place every year in January in and around Basel.

An excellent surprises! We are ales without much spirit, but the suprise was good! A museum, slightly hidden in a narrow street, a dimension " old depot industriel" and a huge exhibition space, spacious dining rooms for contemporary art, fine collections of more or less known artists but very well chosen!
