Al-Disah is an insignificant village in the east of the Hedjaz range, planted on a vast sandy plateau. However, it is a must-see for its magnificent wadi, one of the most beautiful valleys in Saudi Arabia. Pink sandstone mountains are cut against the blue sky and form a narrow and green canyon. A spring emerges from under the mountain, west of the wadi, and flows through the valley. A few farmers grow date palms and mango trees here. Pick-up trucks wait for tourists at the end of the road from Disah. The plateaus are equipped with benches and a tarp to protect from the sun. Wadi Disah is a fabulous place, an oasis of calm and serenity to be visited during the week preferably, in order to avoid the clusters of Saudis coming to picnic in a joyful and good mood. The reward will be even better if you reach the wadi by its eastern side. The road winds between the mountains and offers absolutely spectacular panoramas. A wide valley stretches out in length, which the road crosses gradually to reach the bottom. There, dromedaries graze quietly on some thorny plants. The entrance to Wadi Disah is marked on the right by a large natural cavity and a pink sandstone peak.
