Toba's aquarium is a must in the city of the same name. It is considered the first in the country because of the number of species bred. It is also the only aquarium in Japan that houses dugongs, a species of herbivorous marine mammal with a streamlined body. It is preferable to allow a little time to visit this place, as it takes about 1.5 km to complete the entire route. The aquarium offers the opportunity to discover the marine world through 12 didactic sections on the species themselves and their environment.
