Antaiji is a monastery belonging to the Sōtō Buddhist School. He is now led by Muhō Nölke, a monk born in Germany in 1968, who began to be interested in zazen from his 16 th birthday. After studying philosophy and Japanese at university, he went on to perfect his training in temples in Kyoto, Fukui and of course in Antaiji, which he became the abbot in 2002. The temple is open to anyone, Japanese or foreign, wishing to practice zazen, for a short period of time, where to engage over a longer period of 3 years. More information on the website, in English and German.
