This neighborhood brings together the warehouses of the various families whose houses mark the route of the Pearl Route.
The Siyadi stores: built in the 1860 s, they witnessed activities that benefited the economic spin-offs of the perlière industry. A big pearl merchant didn't put all his eggs in the same basket. He generally held several general food stores and traded dates, tobacco, rice, sugar, tea and coffee.
Ali Rashed Fakhro's Warehouses: they are just west of the Siyadi stores, across the street. The first date of the 1890 s. With two massive doors on each side of the building, the just landed goods from the harbor were on the souk of the souk. The island's oldest café, Qahwat Bu Khalaf, is an important place in the merchant community. The second hangar, called Amarat Ali Rashid, is best preserved. Souk traders always use it for their stock.
