This architectural ensemble was the property of the Siyadi family, which was among the most powerful in Muharraq. The tajir al-lu was established in Bahrain at the beginning of the nineteenth century. Three separate buildings make up the final of the Pearl Road.
The mosque: the oldest mosque in Muharraq. It dates back to 1865 and was renovated in 1910. On one floor with a conical minaret, the Siyadi always use it for one of their daily prayers.
The majlis: you had already seen several of these reception rooms previously in the course. This is the most beautiful of all. The ground floor began in 1850 under the direction of Ahmad bin Jassim Siyadi. The first floor was built in 1921. This majlis bears witness to the omnipotence of large pearl traders, the only ones who could negotiate with foreign buyers. Stained glass, mosaics and fries are one of the most beautiful of the kingdom.
The residence: inhabited since 1931, it is the largest building in the complex. The Sayadi still live there, so the visit is forbidden to the public.
