In the 1950s, Angiolina, the founder of the restaurant, cooked for the many workers on the nearby railway. Over the years, the cuisine has become more sea-focused. Today it is famous for its fish dishes and for its preparations of menaica anchovies (the name given to an ancient fishing technique that is still practiced only here), typical of Marina di Pisciotta. We dine on the terrace facing the sea, in the shade of a large ficus, rocked by the surf.

Sono moltissimi anni che ci vado ogni volta che vengo in vacanza da quando c'era proprio la signora Angiolina depositaria di piatti della tradizione fatti a regola d'arte e passati alle mani del figlio Rinaldo che li ha rivisitati e ne ha aggiunti di nuovi poi nelle mani di giovani chef che avevano raccolto e continuato la tradizione sposandola sempre all'innovazione e con un unico filo conduttore : la freschezza..il pescato del giorno ,le verdure di stagione...ho avuto l'impressione però che si stia perdendo un po la strada a scapito della freschezza ...l'aumento poi dei prezzi ha fatto il resto...si paga di più se ne vale davvero la pena e ultimamente forse in momenti non proprio felici di finanze la clientela qualche conto se lo fa...sembra ci sia un po' di decadenza si spera momentanea...rimane comunque uno dei posti a me più cari .
