This large 360-degree viewing platform overlooks the new locks and the old Gatún locks and offers a great view of the ships. It is the only place where visitors can enjoy the passage of the "neopanamax" ships through the new locks (the Cocolí locks on the Pacific side cannot be visited). There is a projection room, a restaurant (open subject to sanitary constraints), a small ecological trail and a souvenir store.

Open daily from 8am to 5pm (last entry at 3:30pm). Site admission: US$10 for non-resident adults and US$5 for children aged 6 to 12. Restaurant (open subject to sanitary constraints).

Originality

Visiter les écluses est incontournable au Panama. Celles d'Agua Clara sont complémentaires de celles de Miraflores, le point de vue étant différent. Il faut s'armer de patience pour attendre l'arrivée des bateaux et leur passage mais cela vaut le coup. Un resto sur place, hors de prix ! sinon quelques tables autour d'une buvette vendant des sandwiches et divers snacks. Bonnes glaces au 1er étage. D'autres sites intéressants sont à voir aux alentours et dans la région.
