This Serbian Orthodox church (Kisha Shën Sava, Црква Светог Саве/Crkva Svetog Save) is placed next to a Kosovar army base and surrounded by barbed wire. Built between 1896 and 1921 according to the model of the Dečani monastery church, it is dedicated to St. Sava, founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church in 1219. Damaged during the anti-Serbian riots of March 2004, it was reopened for worship in 2015. However, given its location, it is only used on rare occasions, notably for St. Sava's Day, January 27.
