Corozal airport is anything but a major airport - some would call it an aerodrome - but its location, close to the Mexican border, makes it a good starting point for San Pedro for those who prefer the air to the sea. Tropic Air and Maya Island fly several times a day from Corozal to San Pedro (Ambergris Caye): 25 minutes at the most for a flight that is a journey in itself, as the areas overflown are superb and offer the opportunity to take splendid aerial photos of the reef barrier and the coast.
