75 kilometers south of San Felipe, Puertecitos is an almost ghostly village that is best known for its thermal waters on the beach. The temperature of these sulphurous waters is very high, that's why it is preferable to let the waves lick these natural pools before throwing your toes in. This is a very nice place to rest your body and soul. There are no hotels in Puertecitos, but it is possible to camp on site. Bring provisions. A word of advice: fill up with petrol before setting off; the only petrol station in the area is not always refuelled in time.
