Located around 35 km from Palangkaraya, Mount Bukit Batu is relatively easy to reach and offers spectacular views over the vast marshy plains and peat forests. It's a favorite spot for hikers and mountain bikers alike. On your ascent, you'll discover the remains of houses dedicated to the forest spirits. The Dayak people regularly come here to make offerings and venerate their local and national hero, Bapak Cillik Riwut. Nearby Mount Bukit Tangkiling also offers attractive trekking opportunities.
