Located at 21 km from Kalpetta, this imposing dam of nearly 39 m height and 665 m length is the largest in India and the second largest in Asia. It was built in 1979 to meet the needs of drinking water and irrigation of the region. Possibility of making boat trips on the lake. One will note the presence of small islands formed after the lands were submerged during the creation of the dam. The place is also a good starting point for a trek to the Banasura hills.
