Half-day excursions can be organized around Kosoye, 30 km from Gondar, where there is an ecolodge. For those who don't have the time to trek into the Simien massif itself, these excursions provide an insight into the Simien. A walk of a few hours allows you to enjoy the beautiful scenery and, above all, gives you the chance to observe troops of Gelada baboons without having to climb the high mountains.
