Between Rwegura and Kayanza, 12 km from the first town and 3 km from the second, the former house of Chief Pierre Baranyanka, one of the great princes of the colonial era, is located in the place "Rabiro". It was often said against the Mwami Mwambutsa, and it was his sons Ntidendereza and Biroli who were accused of murdering the son of the latter, Prince Rwagasore in 1961 (they were hanged in 1963 for that reason).Perched on a summit overlooking rich verified, the house has a charming old age. This is a fine example of what could be the first «hard» houses built by the «progressive» leaders of the colonial era. Unfortunately, it is left out. In the back, another early Belgian house, in red brick, is even more neglected. Projects exist to restore these two houses and make them a museum, especially as family graves are located there.
