A must-see photographic stop on the road to Masaka, the equator line is marked by a line on the road and a sculpture in the form of an arch on each side of the road. The area is occupied by small craft shops and a few cafes, located on either side of the 0° latitude. For a few dollars, you can get an official certificate of crossing the equator. If tourist hubs are not your cup of tea and if you don't mind being equidistant from the poles, you can go to the Gators Cafe, located 6 km to the north-east, for a pee break and a local meal.
