A little before Debunscha, on the left side of the road and on the seashore, we arrive at a magnificent and impressive lake of crater at about 100 m above sea level. With a diameter ranging from 200 m to 300 m, it is one of the most spectacular in the region. The easiest way to access it is to take the beach, to go to the headlights and climb along the sides of the crater, which is almost impossible during the rainy season. The least agile will probably have to wait at the foot of the crater, because the climb is not so easy, especially if it rained recently (which is likely because Debunscha is considered by WWF as the 2nd or 3rd place with in the world!). You will have to cling to procedurally and trees to enjoy the spectacle, truly magnificent. The inhabitants of the fishermen's village also propose a visit to the site by canoe of the site at prohibitive prices. On the beach, we cannot fail to note the lighthouse, built in 1904 by the Germans. Its massive and austere architecture contrasts with the lush vegetation of the sites. It would almost be said to be descended from another planet. Until the end of the first world war, he was the only aid to navigation in this part of the country. A second lighthouse was then drawn up by the English.
