From the paved road between Samaipata and Bermejo, an hour of dirt road (17 km) takes you to this small village located exactly on the "elbow of the Andes". Bella Vista has become a model community in terms of ecotourism, its inhabitants having really become aware of the importance of protecting their magnificent environment. A refuge serves as a base camp for excursions in the area: trails lead down to the Rio Piojeras, passing by waterfalls and natural pools that are more than pleasant. Great views of the Cerro Aguja and impressive mountain peaks covered with vegetation
