This reserve of 190 hectares of protected forest is the ideal place for hikers, those who want to practise agro-tourism and for all wildlife lovers, since there are 380 species of birds. It is located on the biological Corridor of Tapantí, near the International Park La Amistad and the Macizo National Park of La. Excursions (on foot or on horseback) can be carried out on the 5,4 km of trails. Two of these trails are the Ron-Ron trail on which you can enjoy Astronium repatriations, precious wood of great historic value in the region and the Mariposa Trail with a natural butterfly garden where you can observe the famous Morpho Peleides. All of these trails lead to natural ponds.There is a possibility to stay in the reserve lodge with 5 rooms with bunk beds and shared bathroom and can accommodate up to 20 people. The ensemble works in solar energy, meals are typical and prepared based on local products.
