Travel Guide Bilu Kyun

In the vicinity of Mawlamyine, there are quite a few interesting sites within a fairly small area. Head for Bilu Kyun, known as the Island of Ogres, or the Island of Giants. It is a beautiful destination for a walk not far from the city. But beware, we are not talking about a small island here. West of Mawlamyine, the island has a population of 200,000 and must be the size of Singapore. But for a change of scenery, you can get there by boat and travel around the island in a cart. It is the most sympathetic solution. Although the project of a bridge linking Mawlamyine's Mupun pier to the Ka-Nyau village on Bilu Island eventually linked the island to the territory. Once there, your cart driver will take you to visit the different points of the island, discover the villages, and meet the craftsmen in the workshops... In general, you are offered tours to go there for about thirty euros per person for the day.
