COURSE DE L’ESPOIR AU MONT CAMEROUN

This endurance test, which takes place every year in February, is the major sporting event in Cameroon. It's a kind of 38 km marathon on the mountain side. We climb at 4 100 meters to get down as quickly as possible, in just over 4 hours for men. In 1973, this big challenge was reserved for the mountaineers, before moving, under the impetus of the Athletics Federation, into a sport closer to the race. After a few years of absence, Guinness sponsor sponsor Guinness® resumed the sponsorship of this ordeal in 2014. A reward of 10 million CFA francs is given to the winner.
