A small island between the two large motus Auira and Tuanai, the motu Pae'ao has beautiful views of the main island and seabed enthusiasts will be able to admire the superb coral gardens in the vicinity. Thousand-year-old archaeological sites, probably burial grounds, have been discovered there. Lahaina and Nelson, the owners of the motu's only guesthouse, located in a sublime setting, can certainly tell you more. Beware of mosquitoes and nonos, these small voracious sand flies with particularly irritating bites: protect yourself so that they do not harm the tranquility of your getaway!
