Located between Poutoru and Tiva, Hurepiti is the only bay on the west coast. Opposite, the Pai Pai pass is one of the most popular diving spots on the island. Between 0 and 22 meters, it reveals beautiful yellow coral walls, the same as the blue of Miri-Miri but in yellow. The current is frequent (drift dive suitable for advanced divers); you can see napoleons, dogtooth tuna, large schools of surgeonfish, and many eagle rays. Outside in season, humpback whales frequent the nearby waters: keep an eye out! The diving center Tahaa Diving, in the direction of Tiva, offers this trip.
